Hi! My name is Tallulah! Welcome to my Substack! I was born and raised in New York City. I attended college at Bennington where I studied literature, theatre and writing. My three biggest passions in life are reading, writing and helping people. The urge to tell stories has always been a driving force in my life, even before I fully knew what it meant to be a writer. I started writing when I was six. There is nothing like diving into a fascinating new book or getting into the flow of writing a story, arriving at that moment when the words just seem to arrive all on their own. Historical fiction books are my favorite--I love how they can take a time period and make it come to life, as if you were living it along with the characters. Getting to experience a moment in history through a character’s eyes tells you so much more about what it was like to live back then than a history textbook ever could. When it comes to writing, I enjoy writing realistic fiction stories the most because they allow me to take a seemingly ordinary situation and turn it into something interesting and meaningful. Without books and stories to tell, our lives would be so dull and colorless. A lot of books have had a special impact on me and inspired me to be a writer. Helping people is so important to me. Since I was a kid, I have been drawn to volunteerism and helping people. The lesson I realized the most is that giving a part of yourself to those in need and who can benefit the most is an essential component to living a purposeful life.
Love that you are sharing all of this!
