What About Bob? (1991) This comedy classic features Bill Murray as a neurotic patient who follows his psychiatrist (Richard Dreyfuss) on vacation. The hilarious interactions and quirky characters make it a perfect pick for a light-hearted summer evening.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) This film explores the romantic entanglements of two American women (Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall) on a summer holiday in Spain. The beautiful setting and story make it a perfect summer watch.

Mystic Pizza (1988) Offering a charming story about three young women working at a pizza place and navigating love and life, "Mystic Pizza" is a feel-good film. I once met a boy who said this was his favorite movie of all time, and I thought that was sweet.
Dennis the Menace (1993) A delightful movie about a mischievous boy causing mayhem in his neighborhood, "Dennis the Menace" is a comedy that never fails to entertain.
The Sandlot (1993) This nostalgic film about childhood summers and baseball perfectly captures the essence of summer fun, making it a heartwarming choice for any summer day. The chewing tobacco scene still grosses me out to this day.
The Babysitter’s Club (1995) Based on the beloved book series, "The Babysitter’s Club" follows a group of friends running a babysitting business while navigating the challenges of growing up. It’s a sweet and nostalgic, lighthearted watch.
A Goofy Movie (1995) An animated gem about Goofy and his son Max reconnecting on a road trip, "A Goofy Movie" is a feel-good movie for all ages with catchy songs and heartfelt moments.
Heavyweights (1995) This hilarious film about a group of kids at a summer camp for overweight children features Ben Stiller as a quirky, hilarious, evil villain. It’s both nostalgic and entertaining.
Now and Then (1995) A nostalgic film about childhood friends reuniting as adults, "Now and Then" blends past and present, exploring friendship and the process of growing up. I have sweet memories of watching this film with my twin sister, Bellamy.
Clueless (1995) Who doesn't love this film? Ugh, as if! A modern take on Jane Austen's Emma, "Clueless" follows the life of a high school student, Cher Horowitz. Its witty dialogue and fashion make it a fun, iconic film. I once met Alicia Silverstone at one of my parents' parties, and she was so sweet.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) A thriller featuring Matt Damon as a man who becomes obsessed with another’s life. The beautiful cinematography and intricate plot make "The Talented Mr. Ripley" a captivating film with intense performances.
Big Fat Liar (2002) One of my all-time favorite movies to watch with my siblings has to be Big Fat Liar. It's just so good – probably one of the best kids' movies out there. The story is hilarious and clever, perfect for a fun movie night. Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes deliver brilliant performances that make the movie a blast. Paul Giamatti plays the slimy and conniving Hollywood producer, Marty Wolf. What makes Big Fat Liar stand out is its humor and creativity. The pranks and schemes in the movie are both clever and entertaining. The movie keeps you laughing and rooting for the kids the whole time.
Holes (2003) With its engaging story and memorable characters, including Eartha Kitt’s Madame Zeroni, "Holes" is a timeless classic that holds a special place in many hearts.
Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) Cheaper by the Dozen is a film that some might tease me for loving so much – but I can't help it. All of the actors in Cheaper by the Dozen are fantastic. From Steve Martin's comedic timing to Bonnie Hunt's endearing portrayal of Kate Baker, each member of the cast brings depth and charm to their roles. As someone from a super large family myself, I really relate to the crazy antics and the chaotic yet loving dynamic portrayed in the film. Also, what a soundtrack!! "These Are the Days" by the 10,000 Maniacs is brilliant. Also, how cute is Tom Welling in it!?
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005) The sequel continues the adventures of the Baker family as they go on a summer vacation, providing plenty of laughs and touching moments.
Aquamarine (2006) A whimsical story about two girls who discover a mermaid, "Aquamarine" is a charming and magical summer film filled with friendship and adventure. I remember seeing this in the theaters after basketball practice.
She’s the Man (2006) With Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum delivering standout performances, "She’s the Man" never fails to entertain with its humor and heartwarming storyline. I love this movie so much! The soundtrack is also great. It’s full of catchy songs that perfectly complement the film’s fun atmosphere.
Mamma Mia! (2008)
Set on a Greek island and featuring ABBA’s catchy tunes, "Mamma Mia!" is a joyful and uplifting film that’s impossible not to sing along to.
500 Days of Summer (2009)
Offering a unique take on romance with its non-linear storytelling, "500 Days of Summer" stands out for its inventive structure and realistic portrayal of love.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)
This heartfelt film follows four friends sharing a pair of jeans that fits each of them perfectly, despite their different body types. It's a touching story about friendship, love, and self-discovery. I recently asked a friend of mine which character I was like, and she said Bridget and Lena. I thought she would say Tibby.
Passport to Paris (1999)
Featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Parisian adventures, "Passport to Paris" is a fun and nostalgic film for fans of the Olsen twins. My twin sister and I loved this movie. We owned it on VHS!
The Graduate (1967)

Back to the Future (1985)
A classic time-travel adventure that never grows old, "Back to the Future" offers a thrilling mix of science fiction and humor. It’s a memorable film for summer viewing.

A delightful romantic comedy, "Something’s Gotta Give" is charming, funny, and offers a great blend of romance and humor.
The Notebook (2004)
While opinions vary on its place as the best love story, "The Notebook" remains a beautifully romantic film with deep emotional impact and memorable performances by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
My Girl (1991)
One of my friends' dads plays Vada's father, and he's great in the role. Jamie Lee Curtis also does a beautiful job in this touching and heartfelt film about young love and loss.
Jaws (1975)
A thriller about a great white shark terrorizing a beach town, "Jaws" is a classic summer film that combines tension and adventure. My grandma Barbara didn’t go in the ocean for years after watching Jaws!
High School Musical 2 (2007)
The sequel to "High School Musical" features more catchy songs and dance routines, perfect for fans of the original film. I remember where I was when every single High School Musical came out.
The Parent Trap (1998)
The remake of the classic film, featuring Lindsay Lohan in dual roles as twin sisters reuniting their divorced parents. Every actor shines in this movie, and being a twin made me love it even more.
Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” (1991)
This film is a hilarious and charming ride through teenage chaos. Christina Applegate delivers an outstanding performance as the resourceful and quick-witted older sister who is suddenly thrust into the role of caretaker when her overbearing babysitter dies.
The Warriors” (1979)
A gritty and stylized portrayal of gang life, “The Warriors” is a classic that has left a lasting impact on pop culture. The film follows a gang trying to make it back home across a dangerous, dystopian cityscape after being framed for a crime they didn’t commit. With its unique visual style and intense action, it’s a great pick
“Footloose” (1984)
This classic dance drama is all about breaking free from restrictive rules and embracing the power of music and dance. Kevin Bacon stars as Ren McCormack, a teenager who challenges a town’s ban on dancing and helps bring back joy and expression to his community. The energetic soundtrack and memorable dance sequences make “Footloose” a timeless celebration of youth and freedom.
Adventureland” (2009)
Set during the summer of 1987, “Adventureland” provides a look at the experience of working at an amusement park. With its blend of humor and coming-of age moments, it’s a great film for reflecting on the joys and challenges of summer jobs.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High” (1982)
A slice of life film that captures the highs and lows of high school life, “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” offers a blend of humor and heartfelt moments.
Dazed and Confused” (1993)
Richard Linklater’s “Dazed and Confused” is a quintessential film about high school life in the '70s. The Outsiders” (1983)
Based on S.E. Hinton’s novel, “The Outsiders” is a powerful exploration of class conflict and teenage antics. With a stellar cast including Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, and Patrick Swayze, the film tells the story of rival gangs and the struggles of growing up. I think it’s depiction of loyalty, friendship, and the complexities of life make it a compelling watch.

“Little Giants” is a fun and heartwarming sports comedy that’s perfect for a family movie night.
Moonrise Kingdom” (2012)
Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” is a whimsical and visually striking film that captures the charm of young love and adventure. Set in the summer of 1965, it tells the story of two misfits who run away together, prompting a search party to find them. With its unique style and endearing characters, it’s one of my favorite summer films.
