Hey you guys,
I’m excited to share some big news—I’ve moved to Chicago! While my heart will always belong to New York City, it’s time for a change of scenery. New York is a true love of mine, but let’s be real, it’s just too expensive for me right now.
At 25, I’m at a major turning point. Change is both thrilling and a little nerve wracking. It’s a chance for new experiences, and I’m ready to embrace this adventure with enthusiasm and an open heart. I’ve always been pretty adventurous and open to trying new places—after all, I’ve lived in Cape Town, South Africa; India; Australia; Vermont (for college, of course!); Los Angeles; New Orleans; and more. Each place has shaped me in unique ways, and I’m eager to see what Chicago has in store.
So why Chicago? It’s not just about the affordability. Chicago is a city full of young people and vibrant culture, perfect for exploring new opportunities and connecting with like minded individuals. Plus, I’m lucky to have some really close friends already living there. Oh, and did I mention that Ferris Bueller is from here? ;)
Leaving New York is tough. Born and raised there, the city will always be a big part of me. I love how I run into people I know every day—one of my old bosses even called me the "mayor of downtown Manhattan," which I love. It’s a testament to the strong connections and beautiful community my family and I’ve built.
I’m excited for this new chapter in the Midwest and can’t wait to see what new opportunities await.
xx,
Tallulah
